Judith Rushlow is the paralegal to David P. Shebby, Kristen Hirashima and Kevin Mitchell. Judith was born in Germany and emigrated to the U.S. at the age of eight. After a decade in the Puget Sound region of Washington State, she came to Los Angeles to attend Occidental College and has lived here ever since. She received her B.A. from Occidental in German Language and Literature. Judith earned her paralegal certificate from the UCLA Extension Paralegal Training Program in 1992 and spent 17 years at a construction defect litigation firm. She began working in family law in 2008.
Judith lives in Santa Monica with her husband, Michael, a former punk rock musician who is now a graphic artist, talented cook and food blogger. Outside of work, Judith is on the Advisory Board of the Greater Los Angeles Writers Society (GLAWS), a non-profit educational organization. She is a frequent and enthusiastic volunteer for both GLAWS and its sister organization, West Coast Writers Conferences, and has also volunteered at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. In her spare time, she loves to read and is working on several writing projects.
